A POWERFUL image was shared during Sunday morning's worship: a pebble thrown into water may seem insignificant, and to lose impact as it sinks deeper, yet on the surface of the water many ripples may radiate out. In the same way, we in this church may feel out of our depth as we embark on things that seem to have only small significance, but the ripples from what we do may bring about a wide and far-reaching impact on the community around us. Iain Anderson, from a sister church in Winsford, Cheshire, spoke about victory - the victory that Christ won and shares with us, and our need to lay hold of that victory in our lives on a daily basis. A barbecue followed the service (despite the drizzle!).

On Saturday, Richard Orr spoke at a seminar organised by Messianic (Christian) Educational Trust, about the work of Operation Exodus, which over some years has helped many Jews from former Soviet bloc countries to 'go home' to Israel.

Sunday service: 10.30 a.m. (including Holy Communion). The speaker will be Tim Frost, elder in the church. CrËche and Sunday School will be provided. All are welcome.
