PALM Sunday was marked in our service last weekend, in song, scripture, and even a procession with paper 'palms'. There was a time of open prayer, and Holy Communion was celebrated. Simon Payne was the speaker. He introduced us to the prophet Obadiah, sharing his own experience of looking into the brief writings of that 'minor prophet' and inviting us to see a number of ways in which he speaks to us today.

Sunday service: 10.30 a.m., Resurrection Celebration. This service, marking the rising of our Lord from the tomb, and heralding the offer of new life in Him, will include Holy Communion. The Pastor will lead us in reflections as to how the world sees 'Easter', what resurrection means to us as Christians, and why the Biblical Feast of Passover is so significant in this. Crèche and Sunday School will be available. All are welcome.

On Good Friday we join the other churches of Ely for our annual Silent Walk of Witness. Leaving St Mary's Church gate at 10.30am, we will walk behind a cross to Market Square for a short service before continuing to the cathedral for a closing prayer and song.
