SUNDAY'S service being our Harvest Celebration, our focus was on thanksgiving - in all circumstances and at all times. Our display of produce, symbolising the first fruits of our crops, included the first olive picked from the tree in the church's garden. As we prayed later for revival throughout the world, as the ultimate harvest of souls, we prayed too for Israel, where the final great revival must start. Pastor Patrick Brandon continued his account of his recent trip to Zimbabwe, bringing some stories from there, and a message about the presence of God and the authority of the church. The service was followed with cakes and drinks.

On Saturday, Stuart Cohen spoke at a seminar arranged by the Messianic (Christian ) Educational Trust. He related some of his experiences in working among Jews at psychic fairs and such, as well as putting the great pilgrim feasts of the Jewish calendar into their context from a Christian perspective and in terms of the historic timetable of the world, past, present and future.

Sunday service: 10.30 a.m. (including Holy Communion). The pastor will lead a practical consideration of what it is to be a witness for Jesus. Crèche and Sunday School will be provided. All are welcome.
