LITTLEPORT man Russell Murfitt died at Hinchingbrooke Hospital on January 27, aged 85.
Mr Murfitt was born in Chatteris and served with the RAF during the World War Two. He worked as a farm office manager and enjoyed gardening. He was married to Stella for nearly 60 years. The couple had three children: Richard, Gillian and David and Mr Murfitt leaves three grandchildren.
The funeral took place on February 11, at the Cambridge City Crematorium.
