AN impressive new church is planned for Isleham which will be designed like a barn conversion with a glass roof.
The new Baptist Church will be able to take up to 600 parishioners and will include areas for a refectory, creche, two junior churches, youth groups, a kitchen offices and even a library.
Church officials have asked planners to give permission to replace the present church in the centre of the village with the new building on a four acre site in Church Street.
Members of East Cambridgeshire District Council's planning committee visited the site before their meeting yesterday (Wednesday).
