PRESIDENT Rosemary Green welcomed members to the May meeting. The resolutions for the annual meeting in Cardiff were discussed, one being the use of re-newable energy technology and the other, sport for a healthy population.

The speaker for the evening was Ellen Jones who showed slides and gave a talk on her recent visit to China. After answering questions from the members she was thanked and presented with a gift. Ellen was then asked to judge the competition, which was a holiday memory in a photograph. The winner was Lia Condor.

After refreshments Pat Miles had arranged a competition called 'where in the world'? The winner being Lia Condor.

The draw prize winners this month were: Mary Wenn, Lia Condor, Rosemary Green, Christine Dickens and Olive Newman.

Next month's meeting will be on June 14, at the Old Dispensary in St Mary's Street when the speaker will be Jenny Lee who will tell us how to make a will. The meeting begins at 7.15pm and visitors are welcome.
