A TRACTOR driver escaped a driving ban after he told a court he would lose his job just shortly after getting back into work.
Father-of-four, Conrad Fiebig, 46, was caught by police driving without insurance or an MOT certificate.
Officers discovered he had no documents after his car broke down on the A142 Soham Bypass on February 18, Ely Magistrates Court heard.
Fiebig, of Paddock Street, Soham admitted driving without insurance in court on Thursday.
The charge of driving without an MOT certificate had been proved in his absence on July 19.
The court fined him £150 with £42 costs and endorsed his driving licence with six points.
