A SHOPLIFTER who assaulted two members of staff at the Boots store in Ely and trashed items on the shelves was re-sentenced to a four-month suspended jail term.
Luke Badcock was originally given a 40-hour community work order - but because he failed to turn up for work sessions he was brought back to court. Badcock, 19, of Manor Place, Witchford, admitted breaching his work order by missing four sessions.
Prosecutor Matthew Bradbury told how Badcock was caught stealing bottles of bubble bath on November 3. When challenged, he struggled with staff, knocking items off shelves.
Warning Badcock that he would face jail if he failed to carry out the 200 hours of unpaid work attacked to his suspended sentence, presiding magistrate Janet South said: "If you don't do it, your next call will be custody.
