SOHAM Village College welcomed a brand new team of senior prefects into their roles this week.

A group of six boys and six girls from Year 11 make up the Senior Twelve and will form the student leadership team, led by head girl Rebecca Challis and head boy Oscar Mackay.

The students will take on a range of responsibilities including organising fund-raising activities, representing the school at events, organising and leading the prefects and, most importantly of all, providing support and guidance to students.

Their deputies, James Walsh, Kirsty Moffat, Callum Fairhurst and Sophie Cheal will assist them with their duties and will have various functions delegated to them.

Simon Butler, head of Year 11 said “I am delighted that we have been able to select such an excellent group of young people to these important roles. The head boy, girl and deputies were selected by staff and students then had to undertake an extensive selection process.”

Senior prefects, Vicky Moffat, Bethany Peryer, Molly Gilroy, Jamie Eavis, Harry Parfitt and Ryan Eaton will lead and support the team of around eighty prefects who help to maintain the excellent standards of behaviour and appearance for which the school is renowned.
