Wicken's historic pub and restaurant, the Maid's Head, gained a new landlord this month. Mark Reeve, who has moved to Wicken from the Griffin Hotel at March, intends to carry on as usual but make some gradual changes that he hopes will improve things for regulars and new customers. While continuing the Maid's Head food trade, Mark, a chef, intends to install Sky Sports and a widescreen TV. He also intends to open the pub all day on Saturday and Sunday in the near future; during the week the Maid's Head the opening hours are from 11.30am to 3.00pm and from 6.30am to 11.00pm.
