MP Jim Paice officially launched the Deniva project last week, ushering in a new era for elderly people's services in Soham.
Mobile warden Maureen Galpin offers cut price rates to visit elderly people in their own homes, arrange collections of prescriptions or do light shopping duties.
Viva Centre manager Lisa Hunt said: "We've been working with young people for so long at Viva and it's great to no be able to offer a formal service for the elderly.
