FOLLOWING the success of a Neighbourhood Panel pilot scheme in Soham, other areas of East Cambridgeshire are to get their own forum to raise views on policing and community issues.
Four new panels will be set up, in Littleport, Ely, Little Downham, Sutton, Haddenham, Stretham, Burwell, the Swaffhams and Bottisham. The panel from Soham will stay in its current form to include surrounding villages of Fordham and Isleham.
Each forum, the first of which is in the new year, will be open to the public and unite Cambridgeshire police with members of parish councils, community volunteers and district and county councillors.
