CAR crime acrss East ambridgeshire has been dramatically reduced in the last year.

The latest figures released frm Cambridgeshire plice shw that car crime has been cut by 50 per cent acrss the suthern divisin - frm 143 in the tw weeks leading up t Christmas 2006 cmpared t just 71 in the frtnight after Christmas 2007/2008.

Officers believe ne f the crime preventin strategies cntributing t their success in beating car thieves is a Frget It card designed fr drivers t put n

their dashbards.

The card warns thieves that there are n valuables in the car and it wuld be a waste f time t break in.

Drivers are urged t make sure they have nt left anything n display; that they have remved satellite navigatin systems and have lcked their cars securely.
