MORE than £1,000 was presented to two Sutton organisations this week, when Nellie’s Community Cafe shared out the profits it has raised over the last six months.
St Andrew’s Church received £900 for its flooring appeal, and Sutton Rangers Football Club was presented with £250.
The cafe operates twice a month, on the second Wednesday of each month at the school community room, and on the last Friday of the month at Scott Court sheltered housing scheme.
Pictured from left, are cafe volunteers Laurie Fentimen and Eleanor Monk, presenting cheques to football club secretary Sarah Wayman and her daughter Kara, and to church treasurer Fiona Wilson and Rev Mary Hancock.
