Local writer Natasha Pulley held an author’s session at Toppings in Ely where she met up with her former school teachers.
The former St Andrew’s School and Soham Village College has recently published her first novel ‘The Watchmaker of Filigree Street’.
She was inspired to write the book while studying English literature at Oxford University. She received her masters after studying creative writing at the University of East Anglia.
Miss Pulley, who lives with her family locally, has recently returned from Japan where she has lived for the past 19 months on a Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation scholarship, awarded in 2013.
During her evening in Ely she met three of her former teachers from St Andrew’s: Joy Pedersen, Pam Cole and Geoff Fisher, who was her headteacher.
