Mayors and other dignitaries from across the area were among the many guests at the annual reception hosted by the chairman of East Cambridgeshire District Council.

Councillor Michael Allan hosted the event, which was held at the Maltings on Friday.

Guests, who included the city’s mayor Councillor Ian Lindsay and his wife, were entertained by the Bottisham Village College swing band and also members of the Ipswich Anglo-Chinese group, who were also celebrating the Chinese New Year.
