A MOTHER suffering from multiple sclerosis is set to launch herself out of the back of an aeroplane at the end of August.
Tia Lloyd, from Ely, who was diagnosed with symptoms of the debilitating disease seven years ago, is off to Marshall's Airfield in Cambridge for the sponsored skydive, where she will jump from 10,000 feet.
Her sponsorship money will go to the MS Resource Centre, which provides information and support for those with multiple sclerosis. Their 24-hour helpline has often been a source of support for Tia: "Believe me, there are times when you need it," she added. So far, Tia has raised more than £500.
