JIM Paice, MP for South East Cambridgeshire, spent a day with the hard-working staff at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Ely.
During his visit Mr Paice watched Di Ellis, a physiotherapist, and Alison Penn, a registered nurse, as they went about their day's work.
Mr Paice spoke highly of both Di and Alison, also commending the work of other staff at the hospital.
"I was extremely impressed by the dedication of the very hard-working staff who I watched meeting the needs of often the very frail and elderly.
"Staff like Di and Alison are the lynchpin of the NHS and deliver a level of care that makes local people so proud of the Princess of Wales Hospital."
