A Witchford-based communications company is hoping to raise money for the UK’s biggest Movember movement as nine of their engineers are aiming to grow tashes this month.

Workers from FWD-IP trimmed up their beards in preparation at Mr Barbers in Ely this morning (November 1).

“We really wanted to get involved with the initiative because it is one of the largest mental health causes and raises awareness for cancer charities too,” said FWD-IP managing director Stuart Grainger.

“It’s great because it gets people talking and straight away our nine engineers wanted to get involved.

“They have reached out to their family and friends to sponsor them and I’m sure some of our business contacts will want to help too.

“Hopefully we’ll have some good tashes to show for it as well.”

FWD-IP has now joined the Movember Foundation Business Club and aim to continue to work with them throughout the year.

The charity is hoping to change the face of men’s health with their campaign ‘grow a mo, save a bro’ by addressing some of the biggest issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.

Aaron Tokley, from Mr Barbers in Ely, said: “It was great to be able to help the guys with the cause.”
