There was a lucky escape for two motorists following a collision on the A1123 this morning (Friday).

Cambridgeshire police were called at 8.20am following reports that two cars had collided and ended up in a ditch between Haddenham and Earith.

Both drivers were able to get out of their cars and suffered only slight injuries.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambualnce Service said “An ambulance crew and ambulance officer were sent to the scene and treated a man in his 20s who had a wrist injury.

“He was given pain relief and discharged at the scene by the crew, who did not need to take him to hospital.”
