A MOTORIST was forced off the road and landed up in a ditch after Trevor Saberton came towards her on the wrong side of the road.

Saberton was overtaking on the A142 'Mepal straight' at the time of the accident, and the woman motorist had to take avoiding action to prevent a head-on collision.

At Ely courthouse on Thursday, 31-year-old Saberton, of The Row, Sutton, admitted driving carelessly on January 5, and he was fined £150 with £35 cost.
