MOTORBIKE and music enthusiasts are in for a treat on bank holiday Sunday as the Soham Bike Show takes place for the first time at the Cherry Tree on Fordham Road.

Organisers Ced Martin and Brian Johnson, both from Soham, have put on a feast of local musical talent this year. The line up includes rockers Akimbo, Ely talent show winners Distorted View, indie band Solstice, Spanish rock blues outfit Tea, space rockers Phenomenon, Sessions at Somewhere (folk) and blues rockers Egypt who will all perform from noon on Sunday.

Prizes will be available on the day for the best bikes, and music will go on late into the night. Admission is £4 on the gate, or £5 with camping and all proceeds will go to MAGPAS.

"It's called Soham Bike Show, but it's about the music too," said Mr Martin. "You can come for the music, come for the bikes, or both. It should be a great day and everyone is welcome."

Prizes will be available for the Best in Show, Best Custom Bike, Best Rat, Best Trike, Cruiser, Classic and Street Fighter. Camping is available on site, with a licensed bar and food available as well as trade stalls. If you would like to enter your bike, contact Ced or Brian on 01353 624568 or 624374.
