More than �100,000 of Olympic funding awarded to East Cambs projects

PROJECTS in East Cambridgeshire have been awarded more than �100,000 as part of the latest round of Sport England’s Inspired Facilities fund.
More than �135 million has been awarded to projects across the country with three projects successful with applications in East Cambs.
Littleport Leisure Centre, in Camel Road, has been awarded �40,232 towards the cost of a new floor for the main sports hall, which has lasted for 17 years.
Isleham Parish Council has been awarded �50,000 to put towards the cost of a new community centre and recreation ground and Witcham Village Hall was also awarded �50,000 to help with the cost of upgrading its sporting facilities.
