A milk delivery driver was left with minor injuries after his delivery van collided with a curtain-sided lorry near Littleport today.
The van was travelling along the A10 at around 9.10am this morning (Friday April 1) when it collided with the back of the lorry.
Both drivers walked away from the collision, but litres of milk were spilt all over the surface of the road, which was consequently closed.
The milk was eventually cleared by the Highways Agency.
The delivery driver was reported for the offence of driving without due care, and was also recommended to attend a driver improvement scheme.
PC Jamie Brown, of East Cambridgeshire Police, said: “It was necessary to close the road briefly to ensure that the scene was properly managed.
“Thankfully, nobody suffered serious injury. An accident of this nature does tend to underline the importance of stopping distances, travelling speed, and clear and undivided attention on the road.”
