Fun entertainment and games drew a huge crowd to the first Spring Meadow Infant & Nursery and St Mary’s Junior school’s summer fayre, which was opened by the Mayor of Ely Councillor Richard Hobbs.
Kate Barnes, of the schools, said: “The schools in High Barns pooled their ideas, contacts and resources to run the first-ever joint fayre so that parents, friends and families could join in all the fun and festivities.”
A spokesman for the schools association said: “Our parents and friends’ organisations have worked tirelessly over many, many months to ensure we had the best ever fayre with so many stalls, activities, games and performances for all ages to enjoy.
“There was a fantastic turnout and we are so grateful to everyone involved who supported this joint schools event in so many ways, including the Mayor and Lady Mayoress. “We look forward to many collaborations in the future.”
