ON Saturday evening, a very successful Bygones Quiz was held in the Methodist schoolroom. The Minister Edwin Myers welcomed everyone and offered prayer. 10 teams took part in the quiz which had a Call My Bluff format. It was organised by Reg and Anita Brown and Tony and Marie Brown. Reg, Anita and Tony described the items and Marie brought them round to the teams for a closer look. A break was taken for a ploughman's supper after the ninth round. The quiz continued for another six rounds. While the answers were checked, Cindy Steward, Janet and Clive Beaumont organised the excellent raffle. The results were announced and the winners were: Merecats with 13 points. Wendy Beeton thanked the Brown family for a lovely evening and presented them with a gift each. Thanks were extended to Kitty Wallace for contacting Radio Cambridgeshire and to everyone for taking part. Audrey Palmer thanked the committee for all their hard work organising the event. Proceeds are to go to the Methodists Building Fund. The next social event is an outing to Lowestoft on Saturday, June 16 departing Soham at 9am.
