MEMBERS of the wives group met in the Methodist schoolroom on Wednesday evening. Carol Gilbey welcomed everyone and gave out the announcements. The speakers for the meeting were Ruth and George Ginn, who suitably dressed in Egyptian costume and gave a very detailed account of their holiday in Egypt. They enjoyed a cruise on the Nile, stopping off to visit many temples and places of interest. They had brought along many souvenirs and photographs; these were on display for members to have a look at. Ruth gave the epilogue and said prayer, and led the singing of the hymn and the vespa. Carol thanked Ruth and George on behalf of the members. Refreshments were served and there was a raffle. The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 15, at 7.45pm.
