A MINIBUS load of local people attended the Network Conference for Women from all over East Anglia at Ely Methodist church last Thursday and the next meeting of the Haddenham United Ladies Fellowship will be held in the Baptist Hall on April 12 when the speaker will be the Revd Jim Mullin.

Mother's Day service was conducted by Janet Roebuck of Witchford and the organist was Audrey Hopwood; posies of spring flowers were distributed to all members of the congregation.

At the half-yearly meeting of the church council special mention was made of the loss of two members since the October meeting - Valerie Bloys and Eileen Woolstenholmes...and a gift day is planned for the church's anniversary on May 14.

This Saturday, Lent lunches will be served in the Methodist Hall from noon - and next Saturday, there will be lunches at the Baptist Hall with all proceeds going to Christian Aid...come and join us on either or both lunch-times. The usual monthly coffee morning and cake stall will be on April 8 from 10am till noon. There is a no hymns event in April but the next get-together will be on May 3 at 7.30pm
