MEMBERS of the Wives Group met in the Methodist church schoolroom on May 17. Carol Gilbey welcomed everyone and reminded them of the outing to the Corncraft on June 21, departing from Soham at 6pm. Carol was pleased to welcome Jenna Colbourne as the speaker for the evening. Jenna gave an illustrated talk on her stay in Ghana where she was a voluntary teacher. Jenna enjoyed learning about the aspects of there daily life and enjoyed the many trips she went on. Members were invited to ask questions at the end of her talk. Carol thanked her for an interesting account of her visit. Joy Ames gave the epilogue which related to children and also offered prayer. Refreshments were served and there was also a raffle. The next meeting in the schoolroom will be the annual meeting in July.
