SUNDAY'S service was taken by Colin Nickless of Ely, and the steward was Betty Riley; the offertory was taken up by Ron Bloye and Kenneth Riley. After the service, the theme of which was 'standards', coffee was served by Betty and David White.
On Sunday, the preacher will be John Murfitt from Little Downham, another of the local preachers who so loyally serve the Ely Methodist circuit. On Saturday, there will be the monthly coffee morning and cake stall when the October quizzes will be on sale; winner of the September quiz was Mark Divall of Witchford. All readers who are interested in the work of the Methodist Church are warmly welcome to attend the church council meeting to be held on Monday evening at 7.30pm.
