On April 8, a very successful bygones quiz was held in the schoolroom. Wendy Beeton welcomed 15 teams from Soham and the surrounding areas to the quiz. The minister Edwin Myers also said a few words before handing over to Reg, Anita, Tony and Maria Brown who organised the quiz in a 'call my bluff' format. Reg, Anita and Tony described the item and Marie showed this to the teams. Everyone enjoyed a soup and a roll supper followed by hot cross buns and tea or coffee. The winners of the quiz were the Gunton Close team. Arlene King organised the raffle assisted by Trevor Gill. Debbie Bullman presented prizes of Easter eggs to the winning team and also gifts of Easter eggs to the Brown family thanking them for a great evening. Debbie thanked everyone for taking part and also everyone who helped to make the evening a success. A total of £330 was made and this will go to the Soham Methodist Church Property Building Fund. The next event will be a tea dance in the Pavillion on May 6 at 2pm-5pm. All welcome.
