Ely Rotary Club has donated a cheque for £750 to charity, following a cheese and wine night held at the Sue Ryder Care Home in May.

The cheque, presented to Jane Askew on Wednesday, will be donated to the Mercy Ships charity.

The donation made by the Ely Rotary Club will help to raise funds for an ophthalmic theatre on board Mercy Ship's largest ship, the Africa Mercy.
