Householders in Mepal spring cleaned their homes and helped raise money for the parish church.
A coffee morning and rummage sale saw people take along unwanted household items to Jane Edmondson’s home in School Lane to sell in aid of the church.
A total of £164 was raised by the morning which Jane said “went very well”.
The money raised is mainly for church running costs, but fundraising is ongoing at the moment for repair work to the exterior of the church and also the bell cot.
Jane, who is treasurer of the Parochial Church Council said: “Work should be starting shortly.”
