Littleport Brass Brand and Virtuosi GUS Band are to hold a joint concert in memory of a former member.

The memorial concert is being held in memory of one of Littleport Brass’s longest serving members, Howard Peacock, who died following a battle with amyloidosis, a rare cellular disorder, last year.

Before his death, Mr Peacock had wanted his band to perform a joint concert with the GUS Band and it was his widow, Sue, herself a member of the band, who sought the concert as a memorial to her husband.

The concert, which will take place at Histon Baptist Church, will raise funds for amyloidosis research. It will take place on Saturday, October 26 starting at 7.30pm.
