The Mildenhall twinning group held a presentation evening on Bastille Day to present cheques to the two middle schools and Mildenhall Technical College for French prizes. The town is twinned with Luc-sur-Mer and representatives from the town visited Mildenhall in May, with a return visit from Mildenhall MDTTA hoping to reciprocate next year. The group is keen to promote the learning of French and to host twinning events with residents of Luc-sur-Mer. Staff and students from the schools were there to receive the cheques and were then entertained to horseshoe quoits, croquet and a French quiz. Members also provided a buffet supper. The hosts were Tony and Grace Bristow. The members were thrilled with attendance numbers.
