Sergeant Jon Hiron and PCSO Ann Austin attended Ely Muslim Association’s Fasting Feast last night.
Muslims every year practise Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar and they celebrate by fasting during daylight hours.
The month of fasting can last 29 or 30 days depending on the visual sightings of the crescent moon.
Local restaurants Sylhet, Balti King, Le Spice, Basmati, Thai Lounge, Indian Garden, Sutton Tandoori, Spice Lounge, Mango Valley and the newly opened Market Street Brasserie provided the food for the feast.
