The Decensus Aquarum Masonic Lodge of Ely handed over a cheque for £1,000 to charity in memory of a former member.
Worshipful brother Robin Constable, charity steward of the lodge, donated the funds to East Anglia’s Children’s Hopsice fund-raiser Karen Newton, outside Ely Cathedral.
The funds were donated in memory of Albert Casbon, who died in August 2013. Mr Casbon had been treasurer of the lodge for many years.
