A farm worker suffered injuries to his head and shoulder after being kicked by a bullock this morning (Tuesday).

The East Anglian Air Ambulance and a crew from the East of England Ambulance Service were called shortly after 8am to a farm in Burrough Green, near Dullingham.

Paramedic officer Tim Hayes, who attended the scene, said: “The man who we believe to be in his 50s was struck by the bullock which threw him against a wall. Following assessments by land and air ambulance crews, he was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital for further treatment.”

The man sustained injuries to his chest, head and shoulder which, the ambulance service said, were not life threatening.

A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance added: “A farm worker was kicked by a bullock this morning in the cow shed of a farm located near Dullingham.

“Dr Dan Nevin and critical care paramedic Rob Elias landed in a nearby field at 8.37am and joined the ambulance crew at the scene.
