POLICE restrained aggressive Mark Yardy by spraying him with CS gas during an incident in Ely city centre.
Officers were called to deal with a fight outside the Glass House night club in the early hours, and spoke to two males who had been seen chasing a third man.
"Officers were then approached by Yardy and another male, who had come running from the club.
"Yardy became aggressive and squared up to a man who was speaking to police," said prosecutor Laura Mardell.
"That male pushed Yardy. The police thought Yardy would retaliate because he was shouting "come on," and an officer drew his CS spray."
"The officer warned Yardy that he would be sprayed if he did not stop, and Yardy continued to follow the male," she said. "CS gas was used to bring Yardy to his knees and he was arrested."

Yardy, 24, of Abbot Thurston Avenue, Ely, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, during the incident on November 30.
But he told the court: "I can't really see how I have done anything wrong, except use bad language."
When presiding magistrate Sue Griffin reminded Yardy that using such language was an offence, he replied: "I see foul language every day."
He was fined £90 and was ordered to pay £60 costs and a £15 surcharge.
