Police arrested three people following a robbery in Ely which left a man with serious injuries.
The incident happened at about 1.18am in Cherry Hill Park, off Broad Street, on Thursday, with a man in his 60s attacked and robbed.
The man suffered serious facial injuries in the attack and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, for treatment.
Police arrested three people in connection with the incident.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: “Two men, one who is aged 32, and a 33-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm and are currently in custody at Parkside Police Station.”
