FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man trapped in a car following an accident in Chettisham.
Emergency crews were called at 9.38pm to reports of a car in a ditch in Lynn Road.
Two fire engines from Ely and a rescue vehicle from Cambridge arrived at 9.48pm to free the stricken male.
They then spent time making the road safe for other users.
