A MAN escaped with minor burns after a blaze tore through a boat moored in Upware. The incident took place in Old School Lane near the Five Miles From Anywhere Pub at around 6am on Tuesday (August 4) Two crews from Soham and one crew from Cambridge arrive

A MAN escaped with minor burns after a blaze tore through a boat moored in Upware.

The incident took place in Old School Lane near the Five Miles From Anywhere Pub at around 6am on Tuesday (August 4)

Two crews from Soham and one crew from Cambridge arrived to find the boat burning and ambulance crews were called to attend to the man who had suffered burns to his arms. The boat was destroyed by fire and early indications are that the cause of the fire was accidental.
