Man discovered dead in toilets near Ely Cathedral is identified

A 48-YEAR-OLD man who was found dead in public toilets near Ely Cathedral has been identified as Slawomir Krzewinski.

Mr Krzewinski, of Hills Lane, Ely, was discovered in the toilets at Sacrist Gate, in the grounds of the cathedral, on March 28.

An air ambulance was called but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

An inquest into Mr Krzewinski’s death was opened and adjourned by the coroner for north and east Cambridgeshire, William Morris, this week.

The 48-year-old’s cause of death was listed as unascertained by police have confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious.
