SUTTON man Stephen Scrivener has been accused of making threats to kill, shortening a pump action shotgun barrel and possessing military ammunition.
Scrivener, 48, of Ely Road has also been accused of assault with intent to resist arrest and possessing a pistol.
It is alleged in Sutton on April 28 he had a Pietta cap and ball pistol without certificate, two military magnum cartridges, and assaulted a police officer to resist arrest. He is also charged on the same day with threatening to kill Gary Crosby in Cambridge.
One of the charges against Scrivener dates back to around November 1988 when he is accused of shortening the barrel of a Mossberg pump action shotgun in Manchester. Scrivener appeared before Ely Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was sent for trial at Cambridge Crown Court.
He was granted bail on condition he stayed at his home address, reported to the police and did not contact Gary Crosby.
