MAGPAS were awarded a grant of £1,000 from Soham Town Council.
The money will go towards the regional medical charity's Community First Responder scheme which trains volunteers to provide medical care for patients with heart problems before an ambulance arrives.
Cllr Rosemary Aitchison, who proposed the grant at the town council meeting on November 12 said that it remains the same as the previous year.
"It is a very worthwhile charity who we are happy to support."
