A firm of city architects raised £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support with a coffee morning and tombola.
Gary Johns held the event at their Silver Street base with a range of tempting baked goodies to raise funds for the cause.
Gary said: “My mum died of cancer and so did a colleague’s so this charity is close to our heart.
“We were really pleased with how it went so I’m sure we will stage it again next year.”
Staff pulled out the stops to lay on a range of sweet treats in addition to a raffle which included a home made tea cosy.
The charity was founded in 1911 and has grown to offer advice, support, provide home care nurses, palliative care homes and also works to lobby Government to improve cancer care for patients.
If has a free counselling hotline and was pivotal in campaigning for free prescriptions for cancer patients.
