A man was stabbed during a lunchtime brawl in the centre of Ely today.

Police were called at 12.32pm today (September 7) following reports of violence involving two people in Lisle Lane, Ely.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene, along with representatives from the ambulance service.

“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”

The spokesman added: “An investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have yet been made.”
