Lucy Frazer MP for South East Cambridgeshire visited Ely Police Station to discuss local concerns and to ask officers how she can support the police in her parliamentary role.

Ms Frazer met with detective inspector Nick Skipworth and sergeant Phil Priestley and discussed the process of summary justice, and how that process could be made more speedy.

Sergeant Priestley said: “Lucy Frazer MP has recently been promoted to a government role in the Department of Justice - so it is of double benefit for us to talk about local issues, and also to consider how the criminal justice system is supporting victims and helping us to attack criminality effectively.

“Ms. Frazer was incredibly supportive of the police and is very keen to help us build safer communities.”
