After inviting residents to use their new self-service facility to apply, report and pay for services online, East Cambridgeshire District Council has rewarded one of its lucky users with an iPad.

Last November, the council launched their new online ‘Click and Connect’ self service system, which offers an alternative way to access the council’s services.

As part of the launch, the council ran a competition to award one person who had registered online with a new iPad, provided by software company, Firmstep.

That winner was Liz Allan, from Mepal, who received her iPad earlier this week.

Councillor Jo Webber, service delivery champion for customer services said: “It’s pleasing to see that many of our residents are making the most of the new self service system and I would encourage everyone to try it out.

“There are a number of different services that can be accessed by the click of a few buttons, and what’s more, access is available 24/7. By registering their details, our residents can also track the progress of any reports submitted, which gives the reassurance that their requests are being actioned.”
