A 7.5 tonne curtain side lorry left the highway at Mildenhall Road, Littleport and ended up on its side in a field today.

The driver was not injured but felt shaken by the incident.

Cambridgeshire Police said: “Please take care out there.

“We are experiencing moving patches of sleet, hail and strong rain - combined with wind and temperatures dropping as low as 1.5 degrees.”

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice, meaning the weather conditions are something to be aware of.
